Description
A Vent Tee is a three-way connector used to connect three sections of ductwork together. It is shaped like a "T" and has three openings of equal size. The straight part of the T is inserted into one section of ductwork, while the other two openings are used to connect to the other two sections of ductwork. Vent Tees are typically made of metal, such as galvanized steel, and can be installed in both rectangular and round ductwork.
The purpose of a Vent Tee is to allow air to flow from one section of ductwork to two other sections, effectively splitting the airflow. This can be useful in HVAC systems where the air needs to be directed to multiple areas, such as in a large building with multiple rooms. By using a Vent Tee, the airflow can be evenly distributed between the two sections of ductwork.
